Our Economy Depends on a Good Education
by Lena Fernkopf, Jackson Heights Middle School

How would you like to see children in Kansas have a good education? I would. I would like to see that every child in Kansas be able to go to a quality school.

Another subject that is important to me is that children have a good chance of getting in a highly-rated school whether it is public or private. In the future, if we could get to where every child in Kansas could go to a high-quality school, that would get more children interested in going to college and potentially working at a higher-paying job.

Another change that would occur if we could get education for everyone is we could get more people interested in the jobs that we need. For example, teachers or doctors. For now, it could help to get the proper education to the children who don't necessarily get the education they need, and it would help to succeed in their future life.

Another point to bring up is that many parents can't get enough money to pay for their children's education. We could help families pay for their children to go to college or technical school. This can help to eliminate the number of people who do not have jobs. More people with jobs could create a better society. If everyone could go to college and graduate from college, it would help our economy and possibly show the people around them a better life.
