Daniel Klaassen

Education Policy Advisor

Daniel joined Kansas Action for Children in August of 2022 after 11 years working with the students of Kansas in the classroom. As a public school educator and leader, Daniel saw firsthand the impact policy decisions in Topeka have on children around the state. This experience led him to seek ways to broaden his impact on education and early learning policy in Kansas.

Daniel has a bachelor’s degree from Bethel College in Elementary Education and a master’s from Fort Hays State University in Instructional Technology. He lives in Topeka with his wife, Megan, and their two children, Eliza and Jack.
