Erin Melton
Economic Security Policy Advisor
Erin joined KAC in 2021 and currently serves as the Economic Security Policy Advisor. She focuses on policy research, partner engagement, and statehouse advocacy related to food security, family support programs, and housing. Her background includes general program management, marketing, fundraising, and a wide array of communication-related duties.
Originally from Oklahoma City, Erin moved to the Kansas City area to pursue her bachelor's in English literature at William Jewell College. She later received a master’s in international social and public policy from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Currently, Erin lives with her partner and their three energetic cats in Lawrence and spends her free time reading, traveling to visit friends, and watching reality TV.
