About KAC

Kansas Action for Children’s nonprofit, nonpartisan advocacy transforms the lives of Kansas kids. The Topeka-based KAC focuses on early education, health care access, and family supports for the more than 707,000 children who call this state home. With support from individuals and private foundations, KAC has worked for more than four decades to make Kansas the best place to live, work, and raise a family.

House Sub. for House Sub. for SB 96, amended by the House of Representatives, showed the power of Kansans’ ability to use their voices and collaborate across the political aisle. Initially set to recklessly deregulate child care and restructure the proposed Office of Early Childhood, it now sets a path in the right direction for the early learning system.
