Nathan Kessler

Tax Policy Advisor

Nathan joined KAC as the Tax Policy Advisor in 2024. In this role, he focuses on how tax policy can be used as a tool for improving the lives of Kansas children and their families. His background as a labor economist provides foundational knowledge that he utilizes to develop equitable tax policies that provide targeted relief to families most in need.

Originally from West Virginia, Nathan has called Kansas home for 16 years and obtained a bachelor’s degree in economics and a master’s degree in informatics with a concentration in quantitative economics from Emporia State University. He currently lives in Topeka with his wife, two dogs, and one cat. When he isn’t listening to podcasts or at the gym, you can usually find him reading, doing yard work, or on a paddleboard at the lake.
