2026 Legislative Priorities
Kansas Action for Children | January 12, 2026
Flourishing families are at the heart of Kansas communities. Our legislative vision for 2026 is a steadfast commitment to protecting and strengthening families so every child can grow up healthy, safe, and full of possibility.
Too often, many parents must navigate obstacles beyond their control – rising housing costs, unaffordable child care, health care gaps, and stretching grocery dollars further than ever before. And when families lack the support they need, children often pay the price.
We believe that when families are supported with the tools, resources, and opportunities they need to succeed, every individual benefits and society grows stronger. Our agenda lays out a clear path to strengthening and protecting families’ economic stability, access to quality education and health care, and safe, nurturing environments for children.
