KAC Statement on Governor Kelly Establishing the Early Childhood Transition Task Force

TOPEKA, Kansas — John Wilson, President and CEO of Kansas Action for Children, released the following statement regarding Governor Kelly establishing the Early Childhood Transition Task Force:

"The first five years of a child’s life are critical for their development. The work of this task force will build further collaboration between state agencies, community organizations, and advocates to align and strengthen the programs and services that impact the most critical years of a child’s life.

"We applaud Governor Kelly for looking to the creativity and wisdom of experienced Kansans to help craft innovative policy proposals to give all kids the early education they need to set them up for success in the classroom, in the future workforce, and in life."
