RELEASE: Three things you can do as elections approach

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Sept. 22, 2020

TOPEKA, Kansas — Election Day won't arrive until November, but there's no time to waste. At Kansas Action for Children, we're already working to educate and activate folks across Kansas to put kids first.

Here are three things you can do to make sure your voice is heard.

  1. Download the KAC Voter Guide. Our 2020 guide outlines the issues at stake and suggests ways to engage with candidates about early education, health care, and family supports. Download a copy here.
  2. Make sure you're registered. The deadline for Kansas voter registration is Tuesday, Oct. 13. You can see if you're already on the list, sign up to vote, or request an advance ballot online. Go to KSVotes.org now.
  3. Help turn out your family and friends. This election season we're supporting Voter to Voter, a Kansas-based voter turnout initiative. The program recruits volunteer ambassadors, who connect with people close to them and let them know how important it is to vote. You can sign up as an individual or join the KAC team. Sign up for Voter to Voter today.

These three things are all simple and easy to do, and they can all make a difference this election season. Kansas kids are depending on you.
